Glass Panel FAQ

What thickness are your frameless glass pool fence panels?

All our frameless glass pool fence panels are 12mm toughened safety glass. This meets the Australian pool safety standard AS1926.1 when installed with compliant spigots, hinges and latches. We do not supply 10mm or 8mm panels for frameless pool fencing — 12mm is the standard required for Australian pool compliance.

What widths are available?

We stock panels in every 50mm increment from 200mm to 2000mm — that’s 37 different widths. This means you can configure any pool perimeter to an exact fit without cutting glass on site. If you need a non-standard width, contact our team to discuss custom sizing options.

What height are the panels?

All standard panels are 1200mm high, which meets the minimum height requirement for pool fencing under AS1926.1 in most Australian states. Please verify your local council requirements as some areas may have additional requirements.

Do I need to earth my frameless glass pool fencing?

Earthing depends on your spigot type. If you use standard metal spigots within 1250mm of the pool waterline, earthing is required under Australian Standards. Our INSULUXE no-earthing bolt down spigots are insulated and eliminate this requirement, making installation simpler and cheaper.

Can I mix different panel widths in one order?

Yes — you can add any combination of panel widths to your cart in a single order. This is how most pool fencing projects work, as pools rarely have runs that are all the same width. Just add the widths you need and they’ll be packed and dispatched together.

How do I work out which widths I need?

Measure each run of pool perimeter between posts or spigot positions. The panel width should match the clear span between spigots (typically 50–100mm smaller than the post spacing). Your installer or our team can help you calculate this. Feel free to contact us with your pool dimensions and we’ll help you work out a panel schedule.
