Spigot FAQs
What is the difference between bolt down and core drilled spigots?
Bolt down spigots have a base plate that sits on the surface and is secured with anchor bolts — no drilling into the slab required. Core drilled spigots are embedded directly into a hole drilled through the concrete, giving a flush, plate-free finish. Core drilled is preferred for high-end installs; bolt down is faster and more DIY-friendly.
Do I need to earth my spigots?
Standard metal spigots installed within 1250mm of pool water must be bonded to an earthing system under Australian electrical standards. INSULUXE insulated spigots are manufactured with an insulating liner that eliminates this requirement, saving time and cost during installation.
What glass thickness do these spigots suit?
All spigots in our range are designed for 12mm toughened safety glass, which is the standard thickness for AS1926.1 compliant frameless pool fencing in Australia.
What finishes are available?
We stock spigots in satin (brushed silver), matt black and matt white finishes. Check individual product listings for available finish options per model.
How many spigots do I need per panel?
As a general rule, use 2 spigots per glass panel. Panels up to 1000mm wide typically use 2 spigots placed approximately 100–150mm from each edge. Wider panels or corner panels may require additional support — contact our team for advice.
