Gate Hinge Panels
The adjacent glass panel that the gate hinges attach to. Installed next to your gate opening, the hinge panel supports the gate and creates a self-contained entry point.

How a Polaris Gate System Works
Install the Hinge Panel
Mount your gate hinge panel on spigots next to the gate opening. Choose a width that suits your fence layout — 1000mm to 1800mm available.
Attach the Hinges
Fix the Polaris glass-to-glass hinges through the pre-drilled holes in both the hinge panel and the gate panel. Hinges are sold separately.
Hang the Gate & Fit Latch
Hang the gate panel on the hinges, set the self-closing tension, then fit the self-latching latch. Your compliant pool gate is complete.

What is the difference between a gate and a gate hinge panel?
The pool gate is the panel that swings open — it includes the latch and one side of each hinge. The gate hinge panel is the fixed adjacent panel that the gate hinges attach to on the other side. Both are required to form a complete gate opening. The hinge panel stays stationary while the gate swings.
What is the difference between Glass-to-Glass and Glass-to-Wall/Post?
Glass-to-Glass gates are hinged onto an adjacent glass hinge panel on both sides. Glass-to-Wall or Post gates are hinged on one side to a wall, post or fixed structure rather than a glass panel — useful for corner or end-of-run gate positions. Choose the configuration that matches your pool fence layout.
Do I need a hinge panel if I’m buying a Glass-to-Wall gate?
No — a Glass-to-Wall or Post gate mounts directly to a wall, post or similar fixed structure using wall-mount hinges, so you do not need a glass hinge panel on that side. You may still need a hinge panel on the latch side depending on your layout.
Are the hinges and latches included?
No — the Polaris gates and hinge panels are sold as glass-only components. Hinges and self-latching pool gate latches are sold separately in our Hinges & Latches category. This allows you to select the correct hinge type and finish for your installation.
What glass thickness are the Polaris gates and panels?
All Polaris gates and hinge panels are manufactured from 12mm toughened safety glass, which is the required thickness for AS1926.1 compliant frameless glass pool fencing in Australia.
What size gate hinge panel do I need?
